I always knew my grandpa's days in the army during WWII were special to him but it wasn't until I saw the look on his face when hed the album that I realized how important. And that was only part of the experience. Sitting down with my grandpa and hearing him tell me about the people and places recorded in the photos was one of the most special times I've ever shared with him.
